On request, we presented our client with various LED technologies for their flagship store in Regent Street. In the end, they chose a transparent LED solution that was installed in the store and up the stairwell. We were also able to supply a curved LED wall for a different application.

Insight into the project

Regent Street in London has been home to our client's three-story flagship store since February 2023. 

In designing the store, On Running focused on more than just the latest innovations and products. To create a special customer experience, the community should be able to explore the products with all their senses. For example, the store also offers a space where workouts and events can take place. 

Our local team in the UK installed a transparent LED wall that was installed all the way into the stairwell. 

We also provided a curved LED wall that was needed for a robot table.

The first step towards real energy management is to know where the energy flows to in the building, how much it consumes and how much it produces. The Loxone energy flow monitor plays a central role here. All data can be displayed in real time in an appealing visualization in the Loxone app. This information provides a clear overview of the building's current energy status and allows targeted optimization measures to be taken.

Rate

By evaluating consumers, it is possible to find ways to reduce the base load, for example by automatically switching off consumers that are not needed. Potential energy leaks are also uncovered. Frequent energy wasters are, for example, air conditioning systems or ventilation systems that run at high levels even when no one is in the building. Reducing the base load leads to immediate cost savings. For example, the permanent consumption of one watt costs around €3 per year. This may sound small, but it quickly adds up in a household or business with numerous appliances. In addition, reducing the base load helps to reduce the carbon footprint and extends the life of the appliances.

With Loxone's unique software , energy consumption can be shifted to times when energy is cheaper or even free - especially if solar energy is available.
